The Latest copy of Belfast a Scattered History is in the shops this month.  This story is part of my ‘Short Stories & Tall Tales’ of the men, women and boys who worked in the Belfast Shipyard in the late 1970s to the late 1990’s. The stories are true yet I have changed some of the names in respect to the families of some of people mentioned in the story.  There is a series of these stories, some funny, some sad yet they mark the sheer human strength and sense of humour needed to build some of the greatest ships this world has ever seen from the RMS Titanic to the Argus. These stories are about the workers not the ships as the ships are documented in many books yet the many thousands of workers who designed, built and sailed on these ships remain largely untold. This is just one of their stories.
