Our tour guide training and accreditation program is designed to equip aspiring guides with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the tourism industry. By completing our accreditation, guides will enhance their credibility and increase their employability in a competitive market.
The Belfastlad Learning Programme lasts 26 weeks and is a mixture of online theoritical lectures, discussions and presentations then extensive practical training on walking and coach tours leading to a NIOCN Level 2 Tour Guide qualification. The lecture team are professional guides qualfied to the highest standards with years of experience of delivering 5 star rated tours across Europe and the USA. Students will also learn the role of a Tour Support Officer (TSO) on the cruise ship coach tours from Belfast and then learn from the top professional guides on tours. Once ready and comfortable in delivery experience they are assessed by CIPD verifiers with over 20 years of experience in the field.
