A Ghost Story for Christmas and Dark Belfast Dander

A ghost story for Christmas is a high Victorian tradition brought back to life this year with a unique Belfast twist. Join BelfastLad’s Francis Higgins at Muriel’s Cafe in old Church Lane for a hour of terrifying ghost stories including the origins of some of the most famous stories and how Victorian ghastly tales such as Dracula originated in Ireland thousands of years ago. Then join Francis for a dark spooky dander along the old Belfast Entries and a few haunted places along the way. You’ll finish back at Muriel’s with a couple of special drinks promotions too! The event lasts for two hours and the walk takes in around half a mile of central Belfast

Susan - East Belfast

“I never knew the terrible history that lay just underneath our feet. Frank made you feel as if you were back there in time as the people who haunt these streets died in the most horrible of circumstances.”

Siobhan West Belfast

“This was a tour to remember and I didn’t realise that underneath our feet as we walked lay the old citizens of Belfast.  Some of us even took pictures of spooky faces that were only picked up when we reached the pub.  Boy we need a drink after the tour and well worth the money too!”

Alex from Glengormley

“I went along for the craic and didn’t expect to be scared.  The stories I heard brought a shiver to my spine and I’ll never walk by these places in Belfast again without thinking about those poor, poor souls who lie there even today.”

Grainne from North Belfast

“I had heard about these tours from a friend and it was a great tour and Francis is a great storyteller.  On this tour I was transported back to the terrible events that once happened right here in the streets.  Francis does not pull any punches, he tells it like it is and more importantly was.  A five star tour! “
